Golden Grove Little Athletics Centre acknowledges that some of our athletes will have an opportunity to represent our sport at a national level. This policy outlines how the centre will assist these members to participate in national athletics events. 

Eligibility criteria 

Financial support will be considered for athletes that meet the following criteria. 

• Must have been registered for the full season prior to be selected for representation and must be financial at the time of selection for SA State representation. 

• Athletes must have participated in a minimum of 50% of home meets (and participated in at least 50% of available events at each home meet) for the prior season. 

• Athletes must have demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and behaviour at all meets/competitions when representing Golden Grove LAC. 

Available sponsorship 

• Athletes who are selected for the U13 or U15 State Little Athletics Team will be eligible for a sponsorship amount of $200.  

• Athletes who are selected for the State SAPSASSA athletics team or cross country team will be eligible for a sponsorship amount of $50, when this event is held interstate. 

• Athletes who are selected for the All Schools state athletics team will be eligible for a sponsorship amount of $50, when this event is held interstate. 

How to apply 

To be considered for sponsorship a written request must be submitted via email to the Committee email address Committee@goldengrovelac.org.au 

Information on how to apply for athlete sponsorship will be included in the member’s handbook and in the E-newsletter. 

The centre will also acknowledge the achievements of these athletes at home meets and at the end of season presentation day.
